Pint on tap at Hella Good in Portland.
Appearance: Clear copper with a one-finger white head. Good retention. Much lace.
Aroma: Pine, lemon. Fresh. Grassy. Nice nose.
Taste: Follows nose, with a noticeable malt/caramel backbone. Tasty.
Mouthfeel: Dangerously sessionable. Very appealing.
Overall: Really good IPA. Hits all the classic notes.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Deep amber brown, a bit opaque and solid in body color appearance. Khaki light head almost white, manages about two easy fingers and fine bubbles. Creamy ring large lacing, settling down to a solid finger. Simple and straightforward.
Bit of a muted aroma it seems. Small caramel and a bit of toasty malt forward presence. Muted sensing tropic and citrus quality, even almost a pineapple quality on the hop front.
Palate hits nicely with simple and soft body. Caramel soft and sweet malt, with a nice accenting taffy and pineapple flavor in the mid palate. Washes clean but not too wet either. A bit of spruce and dryness, with a faint hint of juice. Fluffy texture, with a touch of biscuit and cookie substance sweetness to match.
A nice simple IPA, some of the hops used aren't being full magnified, but a decent solid beer is still here to enjoy.

From the 650 ml. bottle dated 06/09/2016. Sampled on July 3, 2016.
The pour is amber-orange with reasonable clarity and a lasting white head.
The aroma emits esters of citrus and pine but nothing extraordinary. Some toasted malts
Medium body.
There is a fruit and bitter finish in the flavor but it does not cause you to fall out of your seat. It is more subtle. Some toasted notes too. Ends clean.

Beer is a remarkably clear amber. Lovely bubbles. Thin head with nice lacing. Aroma is a big hop blast: citrus, fir, some tropical fruit. It's complex, but coherent. Taste is a bit of malt up front but then a nice bitter hop finish that follows the nose. The hop profile is nicely bitter and very bright and clean. Mouthfeel is excellent. Overall, I really like this beer. It's a crisp, bright, and balanced IPA. Very nice.
