Pours a light coffee brown with some hints of kidney bean. Head is a solid 1/2 finger and stays frothy on top.
Aroma of coffee bean and slight imitation vanilla (no offense to the brewers, just what I'm picking up), slight caramel and caramel malts.
Flavor is much of the same, with polite and mild coffee bean with suggestions of vanilla and a slight herbal hop burn. Some nice delicious wort finishes out the profile.
Carbonation is very carbonated which is a big help in this case, and dries out a bit to leave a coffee-like feel in the mouth.
Overall, a great little session ale that's perfect for brown ale lovers, blonde ale lovers, coffee lovers, and vanilla lovers. It seems to tie all of that together and keep the flavors alive.

I don't really like vanilla that much but this is a pleasant to this one. Very drinkable yet hearty ale.

This pours a not very dark brown, with a small wispy head, and no lacing.
It smells only faintly of vanilla, with some mild toasted bread in the background. There isn't a whole lot here.
This feels like vaguely beer-flavored water. It's just way too watery and bland to enjoy. It's definitely drinkable- it was easy to finish. But that's only because there's barely anything here. The vanilla is restrained- which normally would be fine, but the flavors itself of the Dark Mild base are also restrained. I understand the dark milds aren't the boldest beers traditionally, but they're still generally way more robust than this rendition here. There's just a hint of brown bread, and maybe a hint of cocoa powder, but there's just not much there.
This has an extremely watery mouthfeel, with a normal level of carbonation.
Very disappointing stuff here, with absolutely nothing to recommend it for.

12oz bottle.Poured out a clear, golden brown color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It smelled of vanilla, roasted malt and caramel. Sweet caramel and rich coffee with a good deal of vanilla.
