Black beer with thick tan head and great lacing. Smelled like a chocolate cherry cake with the deep roast of a porter beneath it. The taste was like a black forest cake and a porter, the cherry flavor complements the dark roasts well. Nice mouthfeel, full and not cloying at all. I'd consider this a grate dessert beer.

22 oz. bottle:
Pours very dark brown with a thick, creamy, lasting head. Lacing sticks down the glass.
The taste is of chocolate, cherries, and some earthy spiciness.
The taste is of chocolate cherry cake - sweet. Slight alcohol shows. Sweetness balanced by dark bread and an earthy tone in the finish. After it progresses, the cherry almost leans towards the border of medicinal (cough syrup).
It just reaches full-bodied. Pretty smooth.
An interesting brew. A solid porder with chocolate and cherries.
