Served from bottle into glass at home. Pours pale gold in color, medium clarity, with short lasting white head. Citrusy aroma, like lemon or grapefruit. No pine or herbal hoppy aromas. Flavor follows the aroma, leading with bright grapefruit, some sweetness and ending with medium high bitterness. Very little malty flavors. Long lasting aftertaste reminiscent of grapefruit juice. Slick mouthfeel with gentle carbonation. Enjoyable and an interesting expression of the versatility of hops. Overall this beer delivers grapefruit flavor up fully, but has little to offer beyond that. It would be a very refreshing summer drink though.

 

 

Without sounding blasphemous, this grapefruit IPA drinks and especially feels better than better-known-examples. This fruity, slightly tart refresher uses the wonderful bitterness of a freshly peeled grapefruit mixed with the traditional IPA style. What sets it apart is the luscious almost unctuous mouth feel.

Jungle with Grapefruit pours a hazy amber/copper color with no head. Nice fresh citrus grapefruit aroma. The taste is slightly malty, with a big real grapefruit flavor. Good body and feel. Overall, its very refreshing, and has great grapefruit flavors.
