Appearance: Medium red in color, crowned by a glorious, massive, dense cloud top head, with superb retention. Delicate Belgian-style lacing adorns the glass wall. Streams of fat bubbles race to the surface, with submerged patches clinging to the glass wall.
Aroma: Dark bread notes and nuts dominate the aroma. with a bit of toasted caramel. The hop presence offers subtle herbal notes.
Taste: On tasting, there is moderate note of dark bread, and a mild nuttiness. Soon after a hint of bitter cocoa, quite fleeting, appears. Later in the taste, the dark bread notes vie with mild, earthy hops. Finishes with a slight, lingering earthy note.
Mouth feel: Soft, full and pleasant, with just a bit of mild carbonation.
Drinkability/notes: A quite well-made and very drinkable example, pleasant, and with its modest ABV of 4.5 percent, could make for a nice session beer.
Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve ounce brown glass long neck bottle with a pry-off crown, served in a La Fin du Monde tulip.

From the Aldi 2021 Advent calendar. From the bottle, it pours a clear solid amber color with a modest, lasting, off-white head. The nose gets light roasted malt flavor and a touch of caramel. The taste is malty. Nota bad flavor, but light in alcohol and a just -ok flavor.
