Berlin Brewing Co. "Boro Kolsch"
$6/pint on tap at the brewery on 17 February 2018
Notes: Listed at 5.4% ABV. Slightly hazy golden body beneath a short head of white. Average head retention and lacing. Clean, malty aroma. No hops are particularly present, which is OK. The flavor is grainy, sweetish, and honeyish. There's some yeasty fruitiness to it as well, and just a touch of non-descript or "generic" hops in the background. A median bitterness tries to balance it but falls short against the malt. Lingering malty finish. Medium bodied and gently crisp then smooth. Overall more of a blonde ale than a Kolsch as it just doesn't have the balance.

Very clear, light colored beer that smells a bit farmhouse like. Taste is crisp and sweet though. Really like it.
Very refreshing with a good lager character

A: Sweet and floral.
P: Clear pale yellow in a tasting glass at the brewery.
M: Medium
T: Sweet notes that finish off crisply like a Kolsh should. Good summer beer.
O: Probably the second best beer that was on tap out of the 8 that they were offering that day. (yeah I tried them all). Very good Kolsh that I would drink again.
