Bomber from Boise Co-op. Maybe they’re getting it. Solid IPA and nice use of the Idaho 7. Medium golden body , hazy, skin of head, rings if lacing. Earthy aroma, malts, wood, orange peel, pine. Taste is also earthy and woody, sharp pine notes at the finish, orange peel. Nailed the Idaho 7 essence.

a very light and clear ipa from these guys, done with citra and idaho 7 in tasteful doses. its blonde and light on the grain side, dry and clean on the ferment, and lightly spicy and citrusy on the hops, pretty balanced and delicate in feel, but the hop complexion is nice and its somewhat robust for such an otherwise minimal ale. i see this as a little more of a summer beer than a winter one, like it would be refreshing after some outdoor activities, but i love the drinkability, this is not a beer i could get easily fatigued on, even though idaho 7 hops are starting to get a little overused in my opinion, this beer puts them to work well, and the citra plays nicely with them. meyer lemon and lime notes to this, dried flowers too, herbal at the same time that its citrus forward, and its all gone on the swallow. there just enough bitterness here to keep this drinking like ipa, although it seems like the majority of the hop character comes from post fermentation additions. brisk and refreshing, flavorful but drinkable, very fresh on tap at the brewery this week, one of the better hoppy beers i have had from powderhaus so far.

Got in Idaho. Great cloudy golden look. Feel is nice and silky and poured with a perfect amount of head. Smell is fantastic! It doesn’t list the hops, but I feel like I smell Mosaic, one of my favorites. Taste is very floral and fruity up front (orange peel, tropical fruit) followed by bitterness and then finished off with a sweet punch. I like this and will get more for our high mountain exploring.
