just a beer flavored beer here, as my wife and i like to say, a yellow one with a short lived rise of white head, maybe more of a blonde than a pale as listed here, decent clarity, more carbonation than it looks like it should have, and a little bit of hops, but mild and approachable by any standard. it doesnt taste all that fresh to me, but i did not notice a date on the can. it smells and tastes slightly astringent, but has a somewhat robust grain profile for something this light, its earthy and has a harvest time vibe, might just be pale barley malt, but it has some deep flavor to it, which i like and which is the best feature of this little ale. i dont love the fermentation profile, its not as clean i want in this sort of thing, and it feels a little thin to me, even with the fuller grain flavor, the texture doesnt follow. some light citrus from the hops and a little crisping bitterness for the finish, but somewhat faded maybe too. overall this really is just a beer, and drinkable as it is, its frankly not one of the better ones powderhaus makes. hoping they clean this one up a little bit because it would be a solid addition to their lineup, more flavor than their haus beer overall, although maybe a little less hoppy, just more from the grain and yeast to me, but the refinement just isnt there in this instance...

12 oz can from Brewers Haven. Light, cloudy golden, head disappears in an instant, flat. Aroma is grainy with a hint of citrus. Taste brings more grains along with an acidic bitterness, reminiscent of a 9v battery.
