12oz can, I'm not sure how fresh but something is wrong with this batch I would say. Murky, dark dull gold with a large fluffy white head. The strongest flavor and aroma was toffee for me, so age might be the concern on this one, could have been possibly stored hot as well. Some minor notes of earthy hopping but not much else there, certainly not good and much too sweet and malty overall. Didn't finish the can.

12oz can from Boise Co-op. Muddy yellow pour, white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, grapefruit and peaches. Taste leans more towards the citrus, white grapefruit, mild zesty notes. Full finish.

this might be what their hazy neipa became, maybe that was a test for this or something, on tap at big als meridian, who never does an amazing job taking care of their beer and their lines and everything, so i cant be overly harsh here, but this really fell short for me, surprisingly so, because i really liked their other one, thought it would be the beginning of a cool relationship with this style, but this one is disjointed and off to say the least. not super thick from the tap but a really dull color to it, almost a green tint, murky and even though it has a short white cream head, its not enough to make this looks appealing, like old fish tank water here. the nose and taste are metallic, plastic, and old to me, oxidized and maybe like its been in a long line awhile, which is totally possible here. wet paper, some light lemon soda, generic malt, and something wrong with the ferment, like its yeasty but in a sort of stressed out and still in process way, i have to hope this is an issue with the bar and not the beer, and hope to update this with favorable information soon, but i was almost shocked they were serving a beer this whack yesterday. on the edge of undrinkable, not what i have come to expect from these guys, who i regard as one of the best local operations in the area...
