Advertised as a "saison with pepper" at Dry Hop. No mention of CHILE peppers, the waitress knew nothing about it and didn't offer a sample.
Reddish brown with a brick red tone, perfect clarity and trails of carbonation visible. Lasting compact head, some lasting spotty lacing.
Aroma is lightly fruity, Belgian yeast esters with something slightly funky in the background.
Taste is slightly fruity and tart, light bandaid smoke, with an immediate and building burn of chile heat. It begins to overpower the beer, and is fairly heavy handed. Somewhat thin, with a lasting intense burn. Not a fan of this, it's a palate killer with food. Try it if you're a chile head I guess.
