I stopped by on a Friday around 5:30. It was already crowded. There is some sidewalk seating for the nice weather and most of the seating is inside. Décor is light industrial. I liked our food choices.

We had a decent margarita pizza and some interesting pesto fries. This was more of a snack stop for us as we had eaten at the Cubs game (3 to 1 over the Nationals!).

I thought they had a decent variety of beers to choose from. My Oktoberfest (a Marzen) was very tasty and was served in a dimpled mug. Full bar and wine list for folks who want something else. Kudos to having both a Czech and an Italian Pilsner.

My server was on top of things and the food and second round of drinks were perfectly timed.

I like the Southport Corridor and this is a place I will look forward to returning to.

Stopped in here on my way to a 70mm showing at the Music Box down the street. Nice to know there's some suds being manufactured so close to my favorite city theatre. The place has that modern sort of décor that combines bright, laminated woods and metals, mostly corrugated panels. You know the type. Some exposed duct work and the like finishes things off, along with some World Market-style artwork on the wall. Accents of vinyl also punctuate the atmosphere, giving me those straight hipster vibes all over. Not quite my scene, but it doesn't quite put me off, either. Place was pretty quiet this afternoon, and I grabbed a seat near the end of the bar toward the back and ordered a flight of the whole range. Said range was relatively small, fitting considering the tanks I saw in front and to the right of me, and tended toward the IPA-heavy side of things, but there were enough interlopers to provide satisfactory variation. The beers are all pretty solid, perhaps nothing particularly special, but nothing close to sub-par, so that's a plus. The bartender was amiable and answered my questions about the beers rather well. I didn't try the food, which looked to favor the sort of pizza I'm not fond of, but the smells were damn fine. Overall, a nice option to have, especially on Music Box trip days, but it may not be a destination brewpub otherwise.

I've visited many times, from 2017 to 2021.

Most of the time, I grab crowlers to go, as this is set up way more as a restaurant than a "brewpub". Most people are there for dinner and maybe a beer or two; it's usually very crowded and not the best place to really focus on a draft.

That said, service is pretty good and they have interesting beer. This is a better situation for a mixed group where some folks don't care about beer than for your Poo-bah friend visiting for a beer trip.

Overall, worth checking out.

Quick visit while passing through town. Nearby paid parking is reasonable for Chicago, wasn't too difficult to find parking in Southport- but then again, the Cubs were just eliminated from the playoffs so I was set. Vibe in the place is pretty standard Chicago hip, plenty of wood surfaces, brewing tanks in the back behind the bar. It felt a bit like a trendy restaurant when we were checking in with the hostess, as well. We didn't order food, but it sounded fairly pedestrian compared to the other options in Southport- but our neighbors' pizza looked pretty solid. The service was more than adequate for a sit-down table, quick service when we ordered, which was a flight of IPAs and a glass of wine. They fill crowlers here pretty quickly and I would suggest coming by if you enjoy drinking hazy IPAs- that's what they do and they do it pretty well.

An interesting mix of industrial chick and old school cafeteria. Exposed brick and pipe with naugahyde-looking booths and barstools. Some funky wallpaper one one wall as well. Loved that they are spinning classic and new vinyl.
The quality of the beer is top-notch. The 5 I tasted were all excellent.
Service was great, friendly, helpful and attentive.
Selection was rather limited in style. Of the 9 Corridor beers on tap, I believe 7 were Hazies.
The food was superb. One of the best pizzas I've ever had.
Great pub.

First time here last weekend. Kid-friendly which is nice. We got there a little after opening and the place was empty, surprising. However, by 11:15 or so there was a huge line. Only 2 of their famous NEIPAs on the draft list but they have a full bar so that works too. Key takeaway here: the smashed-fried breakfast potatoes are unbeatable!

Hipster vibe (not using that as a pejorative) - bikes on the walls, brick and steel, record player providing the soundtrack. Beer and food were both great. Service was on point on a busy pre-Thanksgiving afternoon. Definitely located within Gentrification Row, but what you can do.

The vibe is nice with the front open to the street. Everything is clean and comfortable. The quality of the beer is quite good. I got to sample 6 different beers for $15. My bartender was Emily. She was very friendly and helpful. The selection is pretty limited with an emphasis on local products. I had a pretzel. It was pretzel dough made into a bun instead of knot. The bun was very soft though. The Belgian beer cheese and spicy brown mustard dips were really tasty. The burger is good too. 32 oz crowlers and 64 oz growlers to go. I will go back to try more of their beers.

A very fun and causal place to get a drink. The food was pretty good with your typical "bar food" offerings mixed with more "refined" options such as seared tuna (which was a little dry but not bad). The staff was pleasant and unpretentious (can't stand beer snobs). The neighborhood is fantastic and the outdoor seating was lovely. The majority of their beer was average but there were a few standouts that were quite tasty. Glad I came across this spot and will definitely return.

Vibe is very casual and relaxed. It's in a great neighborhood and that's part of the reason. The place is kid and dog friendly, although I don't see that too often when I go there. Quality is very high. The place has a unique artisan feel, the vessels are visible from everywhere because the place isn't very large and everything is clean and nicely laid out with some outdoor seating available as well. Service is solid with the waiter/waitresses/bartenders staying on the ball and getting you the beers and food with haste. The food is also very good. Pizzas are great, as is the burger and any of the appetizers. I would not hesitate to come here if just for food and nothing else. Price on food is from the $10-16 range.

If there is one negative, it is the amount of beers available. The brewery can only have 6 beers available at any one time. It is nice that only one of the 6 is main stay and that the rotation does provide for recipe variations, but you basically have one American Pale Ale, one New England/hazy/double dry hop IPA (which is always their best beer and are exceptional quality), one sour, one witbier, and stuff like that. They also don't distribute, so the only way to get beer to go is via crowler or growler fill.

Overall, I love this place and go at least once a week or so. Their NE style IPA (whichever they have at the time) and food are reasons enough to go.
