Collaboration with Forbidden Root Brewing Company
Double dry-hopped sour IPA
When we get together with our good buddies at Forbidden Root, we like to push our boundaries and collaborate on new takes on styles. This Sour IPA explodes on your taste buds with a sour blast that quickly fades into a creamy cherry vanilla shake. Of course that wasn’t enough, so we double dry hopped it with Mosaic and El Dorado to complement the tropical fruit aromas and added a touch of almond and cinnamon to round everything out.

Appearance: Arrives hazy, with a cherry tinged amber color; the head is one finger tall and it leaves some spots of lacing
Smell: Slightly tart, with cherry, almond marzipan and cinnamon tones
Taste: The tart cherry and sweet marzipan tones jut forward, with the almond and cinnamon developing; the tart flavors build but the finish has a lot of sweetness, too
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: An interesting combination but as I don't particularly care for marzipan, this beer is not something I would try again

Tasted in a snifter from draft at Corridor Brewery & Provisions on May 26, 2018. A double dry hopped sour IPA brewed with almonds, cherries, cinnamon and lactose. Recommended.
