On draft at Corridor Brewery.
Deep dark, caramel brown color with no foam head. Lots of bitter chocolate in the aroma, with mild coffee. Big bitter chocolate flavor. Some vanilla and some coffee, but almost exclusively bitter dark chocolate. I don't think the beer benefited from the barrel aging in this case. Little/minimal barrel presence in flavor, and unfortunately it seems to have contributed to the thinner mouthfeel compared to the non-BA version. It just appeared to be lower viscosity. It does leave your lips sticky after a few sips though.
I might be in the minority, but I prefer the regular version. I think it was better balanced and had a better mouthfeel than the BA version.

Tasted in a snifter from draft at the Corridor Brewery & Provisions on July 4, 2018. Infused with in house toasted coconut, dutch chocolate and a bold Peruvian Lonya Grande coffee blend from Metric Coffee. Aged in Maplewood Fat Pug whiskey barrels.
