Spent way too much at Windmill Farms and then at North Park Beer Company, but happy with my selections. Picked this one up and it took me forever - really until I got home and did some research - to figure out what beer it is. Finally nailed down that it was called Lady Liberty. Back of the can read, “Independence Day is a great reminder of what unites us; strength, confidence, love of craft beer, and freedom. This third quenching hazy is as American as it gets! Happy Birthday 'Merica!” Hops mentioned were Citra, Cryo-Idaho 7, Cryo-Cascade and HBC472. Recently had a beer with HBC472 and it seemed to be really close to Sabro, which is my second-favorite hop. Expecting good things from this one.
Poured a medium yellow hazy color with three fingers of frothy-to-rocky off-white head. Could see some bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled bit Citra right away and then got Idaho 7. That was just in the first sniff. Also grapefruit, pine, cedar, stone fruit, herbal, tea, lemon and coconut. Better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted just a tad better than the nose. In order got Citra, Idaho 7, pine, grapefruit, cedar, stone fruit, herbal, tea, lemon, coconut and black pepper. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Juicy finish. (Feel - 4.00)
I dug this one overall. Outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)
