Collaboration with Beachwood Brewing

Friendship is often a key ingredient in brewing. Our pals up the road at Beachwood Brewing share our passion for great beer, so we combined forces and brewed an epic IPA for San Diego Beer Week! Apologies if you can't find enough of these 4-packs in stores... our brew teams called dibs.

Hops: Idaho 7, Cashmere, Ekuanot

Grabbed a can of this on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Saw Second Chance and Beachwood and was in. Throw in the named of Clear Beer and I was really in. Back of the can read, “Friendship is often a key ingredient in brewing. Our pals up the road at Beachwood Brewing share our passion for great beer, so we combined forces and brewed an epic IPA for San Diego Beer Week! Apologies if you can't find enough of these 4-packs in stores... our brew teams called dibs.” Hops mentioned were Idaho 7, Cashmere and Ekuanot with notes of papaya, apricot, orange and grapefruit.

Poured a clear pale color with 6-to-7 fingers of rocky white head. Lots of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass, picking up the pace toward the top. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)

Smelled herbal, tea, pine, resin, lemon, lime, peach, papaya and mango. For mentioned hops, nice balance of all three - Idaho 7, Cashmere and Ekuanot. A little better out of the can with some green pepper from the Ekuanot coming in. (Smell - 3.75)

Tasted slightly different than the nose. In order got tea, herbal, caramel, pine, resin, papaya, lemon, lime, mango and hints of green pepper. For hops, still that nice balance between Idaho 7, Cashmere and Ekuanot. (Taste - 3.75)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.00)

A very good West Coast IPA. (Overall - 3.75)
