This collaboration brew is all about doing it differently and doing it better. We are continuing to break barriers with women in our company and by donating proceeds annually to Pink Boots Society. Breaking the glass ceiling means something different to everyone. At Second Chance, it involves empowering our female owner and team members and making beer for everyone.
Adjunct: Pink Lady Apples and Pink Guava
Flavor Profile: A German-style kettle-soured wheat beer with a cider twist, the initial aroma comes through predominantly pink guava. However, upon the first sip, the palate rolls from medium-tart guava to a hint of apple cider, dropping off-dry and moderately tart. This is a refreshingly clean, light-medium-bodied beer reminiscent of pink lemonade.

Glass: Great Divide 12-oz. Brussels glass
Price: $3.29
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: March 31, 2021
Consumed: Dec. 4, 2021
Misc.: No canned on date; Best by Sept. 1, 2021
Grabbed a can of this and a bunch of other stuff on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Didn’t realize until a few days prior that I was way past the best by date (Sept. 1 having it on Dec. 4) but thought that it might be OK anyway. Poured a light amber color with 1-to-2 fingers of off-white frothy-to-fizzy head. Could see a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Decent watery lacing. Average retention. (Sight - 3.50)
Smelled apple, pear, pink guava, sugary peach, all in the tart realm. Even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted peach, apple, pear, guava, pine lemonade and mango. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Tart finish. (Feel - 4.25)
I liked this. Outstanding overall. (Overall - 4.00)
