Characteristically West Coast IPA, the hint of sweetness drops off, immediately coating with a light-medium, drying bitter. This beer is bright, clean, and quenching, leaving the tongue tingling for more.
Hops: Strata, Mosaic, Simcoe

From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Feb. 12, 2021
Consumed: Feb. 23, 2021
Misc.: Best by March 5, 2021
Got this and way too many beers on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Didn’t catch that best by March 5, 2021 until I planned to drink it. Probably wouldn’t have purchased it if I would have know that it was “old” only three weeks after I bought it. Because who knows when it was really canned? Untappd description called for a “Characteristically West Coast IPA, the hint of sweetness drops off, immediately coating with a light-medium, drying bitter. This beer is bright, clean, and quenching, leaving the tongue tingling for more. Hops: Strata, Mosaic, Simcoe.”
Poured a pale, yellow, clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Could see plenty of bubbles coming up from the bottom and sides of the glass. World-class foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled Strata, grapefruit, pine, resin, weed, lime, lemon, Simcoe, onion and leafy mint. Wasn’t getting much Mosaic from the glass. A little better out of the can with the addition of herbal and earthy malt. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted about as good as the nose, maybe a step behind. Got Strata, lime, lemon, grapefruit, pine, weed, leafy mint, grass, Simcoe, onion and earthy malt. Wasn’t getting any Mosaic. (Taste - 3.50)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, dry finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Not nearly as good as I hoped, but still very good. (Overall - 3.75)
