Had on nitro at the brewery.
On arrival 2 fingers of light tan dense head woth some bubbles were present. Nice cascade. It tries to lace but doesn't quite pull it off. Body is almost black but lets just a little red light through.
Aroma is immediately quite dry and maybe a bit mineralic. Definite roast character and some malty sweetness that merges with a light hop aroma. Aroma is overall a bit light.
Flavor is more balanced than expected with a definite roast and hop bitterness right up front. Surprisingly bright. Pretty dry flavor with the malt all being roasted and fermented out. The roast grows as you drink with a subtle sweetness, along with hop bitterness.
Feel is insanely drinkable, like a nitro stout should be. Smooth and dry like guinness, but there is a bit of astringency on the finish. Very soft, but the nitro effect doesn't last all that long, making it mostly suitable for chugging.
Overall, I'd probably want a bit more biscuit or caramel malt present, but it's decent. Probably more hoppy than somebody that wants guinness draught would be used to. Still unique.
