This is definitely the neighborhood brewery of durango. Being a Denverite this is the kind of brewery I'm used to. Counter/Bar serving with a grub menu and a definite locals (as opposed to tourist) atmosphere.
Quality is quite good, with impressive beers in most if not all the styles they've got here. All the malty beers are delicious, and their balanced beers are also great.
Service is good, as long as you don't show up within the hour before they close. Generally people are gone by then and they might not serve you it you show up and are the only customer in the place, but I get it. During normal hours this feels like a regulars brewery, even though I wasn't a regular. Not half bad. One of the brewers there is real cool.
Selection is right up my alley, but there are only 2 IPAs available, as well as no pale lagers. Malty ales are the mainstay here, but there is a sour and a farmhouse ale, as well as one nitro tap.
Although I only grabbed a pub pretzel order, the cheese was unique and the mustard was clearly housemade with whole mustard seeds and a spicy flavor. Pretzel was soft and savory, but came out as 4 pretzel (salted brown crust bread, like a pretzel) bread sticks.
