an awesome beer here, a cream ale, but done with a ton of coconut, summery and drinkable, refreshing and natural for being so bold on the coconut, and not like sunscreen at all. its almost like they blend coconut milk right into this, the kind from the can with the fat separated on the top that you use in thai cuisine, rich like that, and just the essence of the coconut. there might be a light toasted aspect to it as well, but for me its way more fresh than cooked, fleshy and raw and real, i love it, and its robust in both the aroma and flavor, equally so. the base cream ale has some character too though, with some light biscuity malt coming through all the coconut and even some a yeast element, although more in feel than in flavor, this still has that crisp, cold conditioned almost lager vibe to it that i like in a cream ale, and great carbonation keeping it real drinkable too. the coconut lingers a little bit never comes across as oily and rich in the usual sense of it, and there is balance here overall. delicious and summery, one of the better coconut beers ive had so far this year to be honest. so natural and true to the coconut!
