delicious beer here, light and summery and so different, but i think wrongly listed as a hefeweizen, instead i believe it to be a pale wheat lager, and a darn good one, jazzed up with lemongrass and also lemon balm i think, i guess it could be considered a hybrid. i have not had many lagers in here, and this does not have traditional lager crispness to it, nor breadiness, but it also is lacking the estery banana clove complex of a traditional hefe type, so it plays in a strange and somewhat subtle space in terms of fermentation profile. backlit unfiltered pale orange look, super creamy wheaty white head and almost nitro looking richness to the froth. the nose is fresh muddled lemongrass in its purest form to me, not overdosed but super obvious, almost taking that orange citrus space that arises in a conventional hefeweizen. it has a sort of summery cocktail vibe too, a hint of lime maybe, medicinal herbs, cut grass, and a nice mineral profile underneath. the wheat is fresh and nutty, fuller than just pale and dry, and there maybe be a pinch of some more flavorful grain in here too, faint toasty vibes to this sit uniquely with the fresh herbal lemongrass. boy this is pretty unique, not as dry as it could be, but it works as a longer drink too. the breakfast part remains a mystery, name only perhaps, despite it having some tea notes as it warms. a nice change of pace from the heavy oatmeal, coffee, and maple beers most americans have come to associate with the term, this would be just as good in the morning! great use of the lemongrass!

Draft at brewery. Hazy golden pour with a small creamy white head. Nose is the malts, grains and wheat with a touch of weizen yeast. Taste brings some lemony notes into the mix, more of the smooth and creamy wheat, Full.
