Brewery tap-filled can, poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a lightly hazy, medium golden amber with a fine, two finger white head with great retention and thick lacing. Aroma of lightly grainy male, honey, light citrus and stone fruit. Flavor is grainy malt, honey, green grapes, faint citrus and light stone fruit; mild grassy hops in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A very pleasant braggot with a mixture of mead and kölsch. Although they blend together harmoniously, the vinous honey of the mead and the grainy malt of the kölsch are both clear notes. A mild grassy hop note appears in the finish, appropriate for the kölsch component. This was my first taster at the brewery and I was sold immediately. Nicely done and sippable. It's great to see uncommon styles like braggots and gruits on a beer menu. One of the more interesting breweries I've been in.
