Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a medium golden orange with a thin white head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of over-ripe light stone fruit, orange, Belgian yeast and clove. Flavor is candi malt, ripe apricot, orange, fruit cake, coriander and clove with a little black pepper in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A well made, flavorful tripel, with a nice balance of light sweetness and some drying in the finish and a classic mix of Belgian yeast fruit notes. I liked this one. Bellwether is doing a great job on a variety of novel as well as classic styles like this one.
