The blonde ale is a more complex beer than the name would state. The complexity comes from the combination of five different malts and two different noble hop varieties. Full flavour Blonde with a mild hop flavour. It’s a beer that can be savoured pint after pint with a nice dry finish.

Light golden colour, reminiscent of weak tea, clear. Foam of ecru colour, high, reduces quite quickly to a very thin layer.
Aroma slightly sweet malty, caramel aroma with grassy and earthy hoppy accents. Hints of fruit and the odd perfumed and soapy note in the background.
Taste slightly sour with a very slight hop bitterness. Medium saturation. Full body. Smooth texture. Medium-long, sour aftertaste.

500ml bottle from Tesco, Westport (€3.25):
Bright, clear golden & a half cm, bubbly white head. Biscuit & light, earthy hops on the nose with a faint sweetness. A dry, earthy hop taste dominates with some bread malts & floral hops but it's very basic with moderate carbonation & a lingering bitter finish.

First beer after a long, long touring day. Golden color, nice lacing. Light, typical blonde, refreshing, ahhh. Easy drinking. Thank you Killarney! Hope to sample more in the next days!

Light, nicely carbonated and light in the mouth. Quite hoppy and definite subtle honey sweetness. Quite refreshing although does it really qualify as a blonde? Either way, easily drank and don't mind another! Lovely to see another Irish ale on here too.

Taster at the source.
Pours a light golden color with a thin white head that slowly dissipates. Bready maltiness lightly fruity some earthy floral hops to counter.

Look : Clear amber colour , no head present accept for a small gathering of tiny bubbles.
Smell : Not really a whole lot going on , some wheat , somewhat sweet, doesn't smell unappealing mind you.
Taste : Tastes pretty good. Honey , earthy hops , slight metallic taste , very light and very drinkable.
Feel : Goes down very cleanly , nice crispness to it , moderately carbonated.
Overall : Not a remarkable beer i suppose , but certainly sessionable
