Deep brown ruby colour, almost clear. Drinking ecru foam, high , medium persistent. Melts to a layer of a few millimetres.Draws not very regular circles on the glass.
Aroma: malty, gently roasted, bread-like, hoppy earthy, fruity (dried, fried plums, marmalade).
Taste a balance of malty sweetness and hoppy, slightly roasted bitterness. Late finish more dry.
Medium saturation. Body medium with a slight downward shift. Smooth texture. Aftertaste medium long, moderately dry.

Had on tap. Nice amber color with foam, aromas classic to style with slightly enhanced breadiness, and feel is right in the middle of the spectrum, with some fullness from grain and some crispness from hops and wheat. The taste has an unfortunate rusty finish however, that takes away from the otherwise prototypical ale. The wife liked it
