Pours a golden amber color, bright and brassy. A moderate foam head displays good retention with creamy lacing.
Aromas of citrus peel and tangerine. Furthermore, there seems to be a Belgian yeast aroma, evoking melon, grass, and peppery spices.
Nice balance of malt, hops and yeast. A graham cracker malt flavor blends well with bright citrusy hops. A light peppery spice emits yeasty phenols. Moderate to gentle hops bitterness along with a grassy flavor and a lemony middle palate.
Medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. A nice combination of smooth and crisp. The finish is bitter and dry.
My third and, thus far, favorite brew from Crooked Hammock.
