Taster at brewery. Cloudy straw color, skin of head. Faint aroma of citrus peel. Sweet, fruity, citrusy taste, then dry. Finishes really fast. A bit underwhelming

Picked up a 6 pack at the North Myrtle Location after having a pour: color is gold, head is off white and presents 1/4 inch thick then dissipates to a thin ring on the glass sides.
Smell is toasted malt, really nicely malty, crisp hops but not overpowering with notes of citrus pith and earth.
Taste is toasted, biscuity malt forward, like a english pale ale, hops are notable but not overdone, IPA likeness comes more in the mouthfeel.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, low/moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness.
Overall - I would take this over any other session IPA - the malt forward base is excellent and hops are a second feature with crisp, light flavor and moderate bitter presence.

Canned 2021/05/24
Pours a med frothy 1 finger head with fair retention and lacing, mostly clear slight haze med orange color
Nose big citrus, candied sweet tangerine peel, general orange tangerine citrus, a bit of sweet candy malt, fruity esters from yeast and hops, I think it still has the Belgian yeast of the other Beach Escape version, little wheat like vanilla icing
Taste brings more citrus up front, sweet candied tangerine peel, zest, more candy flavors, sweet malt, creamy wheat I think with a bit more vanilla icing, general citrus and a touch pithy, a little doughy, more esters with a touch of bubblegum and fruit, med bitterness, drier finish
Mouth is med to lighter bod, med to a bit higher frothy carb
Overall not bad, a session IPA with a touch of Belgian yeast esters I think, good citrus, gets a bit sweet candy like for my taste, but good
