The name is obviously an Anchorman reference but I'm not sure what it has to do with this beer other than the continuation of the line "... so you know it's good." The beer is billed as a decadent French toast stout- pancakes would have fit with the theme a little better. Anyway, this beer is very dark brown to black with no head. Smell is a huge hit of maple syrup. Taste is again very maple-y. Too sweet but balanced somewhat by the bitterness from the malt. Seems rather flat and could definitely use more carbonation- kind of strange because anytime I brew something with sugar like this it ends up being over carbonated. Drinkability is no longer a rating category but this really suffers in that department. My wife liked this more than me and I traded her for her peach-wheat beer half way through. Beer is supposed to be fun and this is kind of fun, but it also reminds me of partially failed home brew experiments I've had.
