A vigorous pour resulted in only a modest white head that shrank considerably in a short time. Color is a clear medium gold. The aroma was light at first but soon after it had warmed, I could begin to smell the blueberry in what otherwise seemed like a pale ale to me. Funny, I kept smelling the blueberry as if it had some rosemary in there too. Weird. The blueberry was actually a bit like the aroma of a blueberry poptart also. Anyway, the texture of this beer was almost like a cream ale. Quite smooth and creamy. The overall flavor was interesting yet kind of uneventful. Like a pale ale with the blueberry in the background somewhere. I really like the Pumpernickel Porter from this brewery, but this one misses the mark a bit. Not a bad ale, just not a great one.

Presentation: 22 fl.oz Bomber, with a generic dark red label that has the words Bagel Beer wrapped top and bottom around the picture of a Bagel. The Bagel is appropriately, a blueberry one. Allegedly the beer is actually made with a number of Blueberry Bagels being added to the brew. So there is a little bagel in every beer, as the blurb proudly states.
Appearance: Pours a very light straw golden color. High inherent carbonation aids the creation of a large white head when first poured. The head soon rests to a thin covering.
Smell: Blueberries so no surprise there then!
Taste: Begins with a very quick sharp, almost bitter, start. The sharp start soon smooths out as the blueberries build to a crescendo of strength in the middle of the beer. Strong blueberry attenuation at the end lends a slight sweetness. Lingering blueberries in the finish coat the mouth, giving it a lasting feel.
Mouthfeel: Quite substantial, high carbonation levels give a great mouthfeel to this beer.
Drinkability: The third of the Bagel Beers from Lotsolox that I have tried so far. Fruit flavored beers are so often over-powering or sweet, or worst still both. This is neither; and I think this fact lends to its high Drinkability.
Overall: One of the nicer blueberry beers that I have had. There is nothing spectacular, or even outstanding about this beer, nevertheless - it is a solid effort. Well worth a try.
