On tap at the brewery. Deep pinkish purple. Smells of berries, oak, yogurt, light acidity. Tastes of mostly blueberry, lots of yogurt but light lactic acidity, and a soft oak finish. Medium body and well carbonated. The softest acidity of the fruited beers I tried, which I appreciate.

really cool beer, neat these guys are distributing to montana too, this is killer beer, blueberry wild ale, woody and mature, even kind of lambic-esque, finding it on tap was just a treat! a little thin looking from the tap, stained glass pink to violet in color with high shine and a frothy, lightly tinted head, looks lovely. the nose is tannic and tangy, the blueberry is obviously real fruit, and lots of it, vinous and sharp with the woody element too, skinny and acidic, more bacterial than funky but with a wild and unique fermentation profile overall, i get some cut flowers, tart raspberries, and medicinal currants all in the mix as well, mouthwatering and bright. the flavor is just like the nose, fruit forward but really neat underneath too, the base beer is sour, woody, and rather clean, without much grain flavor or body, and relying on its maturity for its complexity. pinot noir notes abound, vanilla from the wood adds richness, a hint of black cherry and cranberry present as well, some well established brett behind the bacterial pucker, lemon and graphite there with it, relatively sharp but nicely carbonated and on the dry side at the end for how fruity it tastes. very cool beer here, im not sure i can appreciate multiple threads in the blend, its not that layered to me, but there is great flavor here, love the intense real blueberry, and the fermentation profile offers something to be excited about, a lot more evolved than the only other beer i have had from these guys to date. i wish they werent so darn expensive, but in this case you get what you pay for. beautiful!
