This burgundy ale is inspired by our favorite sour red ales in Belgium. Blended from 3 red ales: half of this beer was aged in barrels for 26 months, 25% was aged for 18 months, and 25% was aged for 7 months. This blend delivers a malty and fruity sour red ale with notes of cherries, cranberries, plums, and toasted bread. The malt sweetness is balanced by the acidity from our mixed culture along with significant French oak tannins and a funky, Brettanomyces finish.

750 mL bottle. Clear brown. Smells of strong dark fruit acidity, oak, hinting at acetic acid, but not quite there. Tastes of sour dark fruits, oak, vinous notes, and then it dries out in the finish. Pretty sour. Medium body. Lots of oak and a strong sourness, but it hits the right notes otherwise. Good
