its hard to fault a well made beer for being boring, but this is exactly that, almost like the brewer googled "american wheat beer" and just scaled it up from some homebrew forum or 101 book, this is really super basic, maybe a touch hoppier and more bitter in the finish than the standard, but this is a beer we have all tasted a million times before, and as drinkable as it is, i cant help but wonder where the impetus to start a brewery on such a beautiful property just to make a samey beer like this came from, investment or passion? maybe thats reading too much into a single pint, but this, for being technically solid, really lacked a soul. i like the hops in the finish, the wheaty body and how light it still drinks, and i can taste the wheat too. its also very well carbonated. i hate being critical of a beer thats actually put together very well, but does the world need another brewery to make the same exact beer? i guess that question was answered with a yes, the place was packed when i was in and people were loving this one. what do i know...
