Consumed 04/21/08.
Cloudy brown, like chocolate milk or coffee with a little cream in it.
Aroma is sweet raspberries.
This beer is a blended imperial stout, grand cru, Belgian golden ale and raspberries! It was brand new, just tapped today (4/21).
Flavor is primarily raspberry, though the there is a sweet candied sugar component along with something I can only describe as a molasses/brown sugar flavor. Not really very beery, but the alcohol is well camoflaged.
Sadly, the flavor changed to something like prune juice as it warmed a bit. Still, I applaud the brewer for trying something this audacious and I hope with any subsequent batches he can find a better flavor balance.
Get your date a couple of these and you'll be able to both skip dessert and... well, whatever you do with a drunken date.
