On-tap at Beachwood Brewing
The beer pours a hazy, flat, amber color. There is a nice tartness in the nose that is mostly lactic. A very strong wine aroma and plenty of oak. Some dark fruit, mostly cherry, aroma. I do not get much cucumber, though. The cucumber is definitely noticeable on the palate. A lot of red wine and oak flavor with moderate tartness, though it seems to be a bit more toward vinegar. Overall a surprisingly enjoyable beer.

On tap for the first anniversary party at Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach, CA.
Pours a slightly murky honey orange with no head and no lace. Smell is sour and tart with some fruit, wood, mild cucumber, and slight wine aromas. Taste is much the same with a slightly acidic finish. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that seems more like a sour than a saison but only has a hint of cucumber in the aroma and flavor.
