(16 oz can, 03/24/21; purchased single off shelf at Total Wine, by recommendation from a sales associate... decanted into a fat tulip)

L: moderately-hazy, yellow-orange amber liquid; foam sizzles out on during pour... (dregs added)... milky-opaque (non)clarity... no lace; dark-tan sediment collects in the concave nipple of the glass

S: peach yogurt, piss pants... doesn't really stray from that... to be true, a variety of fruity flourishes does fill out the nose, even a peppery note for accent, and the overall inhalation imbibe is pleasant

T: burlap-skinned peach wine, tart almost bitter orange mid-swell (increases with each sip); kettle soured, nutty-yeasty finish, but thins out dry long after... aftertaste, before remaining dregs added, eventually showcased the blueberry (Mosaic) and mashed orange-lemon flesh (Citra) fairly stark... (dregs added)... similar expressions, just with a grainier (oat) background, but with more division between the tart (now edging toward white grapefruit) top and resin mush (break) bottom

F: sourness slapping the taste buds, roof of mouth tingly, palate floor primer-ed with hop resins stretched with (an ideal measure of) alcohol... (dregs added)... nectar, with a bitey potency

O: Jim's 'Flintstone vitamin' observation is kinda dead-on; sorry I skimmed his review before tasting this; influenced my view, but that subtle note is undeniable... good, but not quite to my taste; not revelatory (my in-term-pretation) as per the recommendation, but overall dynamic, fairly well-balanced, and eventually satisfying, if not moreish (1774)

Notes via stream of consciousness: Kudos to all of those breweries like Double Nickel that have clear production dates on their cans. This one has poured a cloudy golden-orange body beneath a finger's width of rocky off-white foam. The aroma reminds me of Flinstone's vitamins but not much more. It's a little bit fruity, which is nice, and not overly mineralish which is even nicer. Is this supposed to be more than it is? I'm guessing the answer is yes as the label reads "DANK & HAZY KETTLE-SOURED IPA". I'm not finding it "dank" at all. Moving forward... the taste is similar to the aroma. There's a little bit of mineral, some nice lime and lemon, apple, and a bit of berry-like fruitiness. I might even go with some mango. It's a little bit different but not really fantastic in that sense. Ahh, shit! It says you're supposed to drink this at 4:20 pm and I'm early. Maybe that's where the dankness comes in because I'm definitely not finding it here. And why would I? The hops are listed as Mosaic, Citra, and Azacca - nothing that I really associate with "dank". I always put dank in quotation marks as well because I don't think people really know what dank means. You can steal the word, but that doesn't change it. Back to the beer itself, it's got a nice sourness to it. It's more than what I'd call tart, but not super sour either. Some sours can go a little too far and I have to wonder if they're going to upset my stomach but that's not the case here. It's not bitter but as usual it doesn't need to be, the acid keeps it dry anyway. I'm going to call it light-medium in body... ah, maybe medium-light... and gently crisp. The extra proteins help to smooth it out, and on that note, I'm guessing that both wheat and oats make up part of the malt. I could get used to this. Ahh, I just got some of what they're calling "dank" in the burp so OK then. Yeah, if you like sours this one is definitely worth trying.
