500ml bottle served in a big snifter. Bought it at Special Brews about a week ago. If there's more than one bottling of it, that would surprise me. Cap under the silver glitter wax was significantly corroded, though seemed fine within the sealed area.
Pours dark, murky brown, with a medium sized frothy head. Smell is a little wet cardboard, lots of nuts and toffee and pine. Something creamy and sweet.
Taste is sweet, cherry tart, cough syrup, raisins. Some caramel sauce.
Mouthfeel is thick and chewy. Overall...it's OK. Not sure I'm going to finish it.

L: The cap wax was especially difficult to cut through and the beer foamed out everywhere as soon as the cap was cracked, amounting to a 20% loss. A dark reddish brown filtered brew with a half finger of head with a sparser display of larger bubbles and leaving minimum spots of lacing.
S: Cloyingly sweet for the nose even. Molasses, shoe leather, apples and a floral note.
T: Follows the nose, quite sweet and a boozy sting.
F: Pretty flat after the foam works earlier. Medium weight and body.
O: Overall this was not so good. I love Crucible. It's my favorite local brewery, but this did not hold up and may have begun to turn.
