Darker than coal at midnight, and stronger than the Union Pacific big boys, this dark brown ale will get your caboose going. Brewed with roasted and chocolate malts and infused with a train load of Wobegon cold press from Kinder Coffee, it is perfect for the impending cold weather. Slightly sweet, with notes of chocolate really help the coffee flavors pull through. All aboard the polar espresso!

16oz can, purchased at the tap room. Date stamp on label is 'DEC.'.
Clear, brown colored body. One finger of beige head results in an island and thin ring. Sheen but no lacing left behind.
Aroma of dark brewed coffee, with some chocolate in the background.
Taste is a more balanced blend of dark roast coffee and sweet chocolate. Quick fade in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel, with an acidic note. Supportive carbonation.
The nose gives you the dark roasted beans and the taste is a straight blend of dark roasted chocolate malts and dark roast coffee.

Pours a dark brown. 3 finger tan head. Head retention is ok, but not too long lasting. There's a bit of lacing on the glass.
The nose is full of coffee notes. I do get a faint hint of malt, but coffee is the main aroma.
Up front there's a bit of a malty sweetness. It then turns complete coffee.
The beer has a decent body. The coffee lingers in my throat. not watery at all.
Decent coffee beer.
