The glow of Christmas lights, Dad fixing a flat tire, Chinese food for dinner, and sticking our tongues to cold flag poles are great memories but nothing puts us more in the Christmas spirit than shooting the old Red Ryder BB gun. We gathered everything that reminds us of those Christmas memories and put it in this milk stout. Anise, orange peel, clove, allspice, nutmeg, chocolate. cinnamon, vanilla, and who knows what else, to make this Christmas stout your new favorite Christmas tradition. Try it! We triple dog dare ya!

16oz can. I think the date stamp on the label is '1223'.
Black colored body, with a mahogany back lit edge. Two fingers of tan head, which recedes to a thin cap and high ring. Narrow ring of lacing is left behind.
Aroma of chocolate, cinnamon, anise, orange, and spice.
Taste is like cinnamon stick candy. Other flavors are anise, chocolate, orange, and nutmeg/allspice. A sweet melange continues in the aftertaste.
Creamy and heavier mouthfeel. The cinnamon and spices linger. Good carbonation.
Totally appropriate sweet and spiced holiday stout. Solid roasted malt subfloor.

On tap at the source.
Pitch black pour, nothing shines through. Tan head, no lacing on the glass.
There's a bit of cinnamon on the nose. It almost has a root beer aroma. Lots of different species, and I can't put my finger (or nose) on them.
Spices are the main flavor. I get cinnamon and some nutmeg. Probably cloves in it. Slight peppermint flavor. Slightly sweet.
Lighter body, but about right for the abv.
Tasty holiday drink. Pleasing.
