From a 16oz can purchased at the brewery. Dated Feb 24'
This beer is a thick looking beer and pours pitch black in color. The head comes to a 2 finger tan color. Decent retention and some lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
Aroma is a smooth dark chocolate with caramel, lactose, and toffee. Notes of malt also show up here.
Taste - There's a good dark chocolate hit right up front. This dark chocolate has a good bitterness to it. The caramel, and toffee hits on the backside. There's also notes of coffee in this beer. There's some sweetness, but less than the nose suggested.
Body is decent. Somewhat smooth. Not as full as I was expecting.
Not bad overall, and I'm glad I bought it.
