On tap at San Marcos Brewery. This is described as a red ale.
A: Somewhere between red and brown with a small white head.
S: Moderately sweet, with caramel, bread, biscuit, and a nutty quality. Hops are earthy.
T: Pretty malty, with sweet bread blending with caramel and biscuit. There's a low earthy bitterness. I get a subtle nuttiness that's unexpected but not unwelcome. Sort of tastes like a brown ale.
M: Lower medium body with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This is somewhere between a brown and an amber. Pretty decent.

A - Poured an amber color with a white head that leaves some lacing behind
S - Has a light nose with some caramel malt
T - Like the smell the taste is light with some sweet caramel malt
M - This beer has a medium body with medium carbonation to it
D - This is one of the better traditional styles of beer at San Marcos not mind blowing but a good beer at least you wont go wrong getting a pint of this

My first sample of this offering was on tap at the pub. That one proved to be spoiled so I bought a bottle to see if it had better treatment. Poured into a tulip it forms a meaty off white head. Lace is sticky and stringy. Brown body.
There is some indications of an infection of some sort once again in this sample as well. Not near as much as the on tap version. Breaded malts with some roasted flavor to round it out. This brew leans heavily to the Amber side of things. Meaning there isn't a balanced hop bill and the malts ran the show. Underlying metallic twinge is annoying.
Notes: It was decent but doesn't stack up to the competition. I get the feeling I'm being generous here and most folks will take a bigger dump on it than I have.
