This should have been poured more slowly, as a huge, five inch, fluffy white head blocks access to the clear, gold beer below. The head slowly turns rocky as it compresses from below. Occasional random bubbles of carbonation can be seen within. The second pour pushes the head two inches above the rim. Eventually, patches of lace form on the Pilsner glass.
The aroma has lightly toasted malt and grains up front, with faint sourdough in the background. Herbal notes eventually mix with toffee as it warms.
Bitterness is modest against clean malt and toasted white bread. The hops are herbal, with cilantro and watercress. The finish is long and moderate, bringing more herbal notes as it fades.
It has a medium body and the texture of jersey cotton. Alcohol is as expected, and there is a light prickle of carbonation. Astringency is mild.
This is a great summer afternoon beer, which I found to be very enjoyable on a hot, sunny day. It feels authentic, and I would love to try it on cask in a nonic glass some day.

Taster at FLOT. Clear golden pour, fine white head. Grainy, malty aroma. Light malty taste. I'm getting more blonde/golden notes than ESB. the color throws you off as well.

Canned 10/10/23.
Translucent medium orange-amber, with 1/2 finger of off-white head.
Smell is toffee and toast, with a hint of vague jammy fruit. Pleasant, but not a lot of it.
Taste is caramel, toffee, and toasty brown bread crust. Light , lingering bitterness.
Feel is light, but not watery, initially smooth, with moderate, very fine carbonation tingle, that becomes slightly prickly towards finish. Slight drying effect after finish.
Overall, an enjoyable, easy-drinking brew. :)

Served on draft at a local tap house.
Surprisingly tasty and much brighter than anticipated. Distinct notes of cherry present, despite not having any special additives to impart this flavor profile.
Definitely an above average offering for an ESB, which may break from tradition for the style a touch, but good brew.
