Pours crystal clear orangish amber thin cap with nice lacing. Gorgeous beer. Aroma is faint caramel, malt and earthy hops. Flavor follows the nose. Feel is on the lighter side of medium bodied, adequately carbonated. Overall a fine session beer.

16oz can with a 'born on' date
Looks like the beer from Shaun of the Dead: amber-red, dark, beautifully clear and well carbonated. I smell mostly herbal english hops. Very bitter with a sweet caramel character that stands out... the potency of that bitterness is a real surprise. It's a little thin, drink it fast so you don't drink it flat
I would call this just average, but all aspects synergistically combine into a very unique brew. I cant imagine better flavor out of just 4.5% ABV

Perfect lunch beer. Nitro pour so nice and creamy. Sweet malts with a suitable balance of hops. More on the finish. Nose is mild malts. Great legs on the glass.

Appearance: Arrives clear and amber with a one finger nitro cap; good retention and lacing action
Smell: Caramel and stone fruit tones
Taste: Caramel forward, with stone fruit flavors building; earthy through the middle, with some grassy tones bringing a modest bitterness to the finish
Mouthfeel: Light body with a creamy carbonation from the nitro
Overall: This is a mild, not an ESB, and a damn good one at that; would stand on its own across the pond

an extraordinarily mild flavored beer, especially for its color, a wonderful session brew though with all the elements, and a great mouthfeel from the nitro tap. classic cascade and settling inch of puffy head. its crystal clear and deep amber in color. the nose and taste here are mild english ale yeast, a nice baked and caramelized grain base with just a hint of red berry to it, and finally a grassy old world hopping on the back end thats more bitterness than flavorful, but necessary and proportionally spot on. its really light in flavor for what it is, nowhere near as robust as most esb types, especially the american made ones, but there is a delightful freshness and balance here that are unrivaled in light beer like this. its dry as can be, especially for a red malt driven beer, and has a lot of body to it, made especially creamy and throat coating with the nitro format. in the few beers i have had from these guys i have been quite impressed. this isnt going to change the world or anything, but well made honest english ale is hard to find in the states, and these guys seem to be on it. this appears to be their most popular beer.

-Lovely dark red color
-Clean refreshing aroma, noticeable dough, pine floral
-the ultimate drinkable esb, light yet deep and full of complex flavor drawn by the malt, no ABV masking
-overall an amazing, drinkable ESB full of flavor.
