Sampling a 16 oz can poured into my .5L dimple mug. Date stamp of 3/8/2023. Pouring the beer at cellar temp the beer is a fairly clear amber color with a creamy beige head of 2 cm foaming up. This foam fades to a sturdy surface layer slowly after the pour.
Several very fine and active streams of carbonation rise to the surface.
The aroma is biscuits and dark bread crust with a hint of caramel. Not very sweet malt notes. I also get a background of floral hops. Overall pleasant nose that is also fairly mild.
First sip reveals a medium body with very fine and tingly carbonation. The texture is smooth and the beer drinks pretty easy.
Flavor is similar to the nose with malt forward profile of some toasted dark bread crust and caramel with a bit of general grainy note on the finish. There are hints of floral hop notes, but again in the background and just a bit of balance to the malt profile. The beer is certainly not sweet though.
This is a fairly straightforward Marzen that isnt flawed and I enjoy drinking it tonight.

Look: Red-orange and slightly opaque with a swift-forming off-white head that settles quickly to a lid and leaves good lacing behind
Aroma: Raw bread dough, freshly baked bread, melanoidin, floral hop notes, and some caramel
Taste: Loads of dough and warmed bread-led malt kick in the door and quickly following them is a slath of floral hop notes – lily magnolia, western azalea, and tea rose amongst them. Bread, caramel, and flowers intertwine and deepen throughout and closes with more raw dough and floral hops
Mouthfeel: Full, very clean throughout, medium-high carbonation, and a clean and crisp finish
Overall: This is tasty stuff. I love what these folks do and enjoy a nice Marzen so obviously was excited to try this and it’s really good. It has a floral hop component that hits like a Festbier but also has a ton of malt flavor and depth so still checks the Marzen boxes too but whatever it is, it’s delicious and worth checking out

Fairly easy-drinking, there are no particularly obvious off-flavors, but the maltiness is rather middling for a marzen, and the aroma is disappointingly mild.
Pours a beige colored foam that has somewhat above average retention, fading to a thick ring around the perimeter of the glass with some wispy strands of film atop the beer's body. Lacing is average, with some small dots and blots clinging to some sides of the glass. Body is a golden orange color, with light bringing out slightly brighter/lighter shades of golden orange (SRM 12-14). Transparent.
Aroma of somewhat faint/dull toasted maltiness with a bit of light-colored caramel malt sweetness/character, and a faint hint of astringency.
Flavor is a bit disappointing, light-colored caramel malt sweetness, watery-mild slight cereal grains and toasted malt character, mild spiciness and bitterness from hops with a bit of an astringent off-flavor. Front: light toasted maltiness and light-colored caramel malt character/sweetness with a hint of a light spiciness from hops. Mid: medium to medium-light-colored caramel malt sweetness/character, slight astringency, mild/watery toasted maltiness, light spiciness from hops, and light bitterness. Back: moderate hop spice and bitter characters, slightly astringent off-note, somewhat watery light toasted malt and caramel malt character. After: lingering light-colored caramel malt sweetness with moderate toasted malt and cereal grain character, medium-light hop spiciness and bitter character, slight dry astringency.
Beer is medium-light in body, a bit thin for the style, with carbonation of medium intensity that leads to a fairly soft and foamy mouthfeel. Closes dry, with medium-light stickiness on lips and palate.

Märzen Mädness pours as it was implied to. Basketball orange. One that might have been dribbled just a bit, on a clean wooden court, obviously. A lightly tanned white head doesn't represent itself too well, but still manages some spotty lacing.

Simple pleasures. A beer that doesn't need to burst, but still manages to be a collective of wonderful aromas. Sticky buns, burnt caramel, nutmeg, and just the right amount of spicy floral hops.

And the flavors mimic the aroma perfectly. Bready, sticky, sweet rolls complete with sprinkles of spices. None of the flavors too intense or overpowering.

A wonderful light to medium body with a moderate carbonation carries the flavors just right. This is an all day drinker, as long as it's not too warm outside.

Another style done very well by Zoiglhaus. Paired with some schnitzel and spätzle... I'm in heaven. Prost!
