Can from Market of Choice.
A mildly hazy orange brown with a dense, beige head with good retention and lacing. The nose is a wonderful blend of banana, clove, toast and a touch of caramel, all on a grainy, wheat base. Hops are noticeable, with a earthy, spicy hop note present. The palate opens with a blend of bread, banana, clove and lightly toasted wheat. There's a light heft to the palate that's probably from the decoction process. A hair overcarbonated, lending an acidity that clashes with the hops, and also adds a seltzer like finish. Disjointed on the finish. Solid stuff.

Look: Murky reddish-brown with a quick-forming and silky-looking beige head that builds and settles to a lid, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Warm dark wheat bread, banana, yeast, cloves, and some light fruity esters as well that are reminiscent of pear and apple
Taste: Rich wheat bread, wheat malt, and ripe banana kick it off and soon followed by nice clove notes that intertwine and mix in well. Yeast and fruity esters pop in and out once the initial hit subsides only to regain momentum and depth while carrying to the close
Mouthfeel: Full, soft throughout, medium to medium-high carbonation, and finishes soft and slightly smooth
Overall: This is tasty stuff. When I saw two highly respected and oft-enjoyed brewers had collaborated on my personal favorite Weissbier style, I had to try it and it is quite delicious, as expected. Tons of wheat bread, malt, and yeast along with prototypical banana and clove all in a smooth and soft package that is way too easy to imbibe, make this one a winner. If you like Dunkelweizens, give this one a try
