Look: Amber to ruby-red on the pour and in the glass along with a fluffy light beige head that forms a huge pillow and refuses to settle, eventually doing so and leaving behind great lacing
Aroma: Warm brown bread, melanoidin, dried dark fruit, light earthy and slightly spicy hop notes, and raw bread dough
Taste: Dough and bread start it off and quickly followed by waves of dates, dried prune plums, and raisins that trickle in and join. Some caramel and light earthy and spicy hops appear quickly in the middle before fruit and dough return to close it out
Mouthfeel: Full, smooth, clean, medium-high carbonation, and a clean and smooth finish
Overall: This is some good stuff. I love a good Bock and think these folks are very good at crafting German lagers and ales, so was pumped to try this and it wasn’t undersold. A delicious malty Bock with lots of nice dark fruit and plenty of bread plus just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. Tasty and recommended
