Look: Jet black with a nice, beige head that holds well
Aroma: Roast, chocolate, wafts of cherry, warm brown bread, light sweetness, and earthy notes
Taste: Roast and chocolate with a cherry backer. Nice, bready notes hold through while developing depth. Earthy notes close it out with a touch of sweetness
Mouthfeel: Full, smooth, clean, good carbonation, and a touch of dryness on the finish
Overall: This is some good stuff. It’s tasty, has good depth of flavor and nicely balanced throughout. A nice play on a Black Forest Cake in beer form but not overly sweet either as the earthiness cuts it just the right amount
