When translating the Japanese word “Kanpai” (乾杯) to the English language it ultimately means “emptying the cup” or “making the cup dry”. The meaning implies that when one person utters Kanpai they’re literally making a toast and intending to drink the entire alcoholic beverage without leaving a single drop remaining

Pint at Talon Tap & Wine in LA.

Pours clear medium-dark yellow, small to nonexistent head, moderate amount of very fine, wispy carbonation. Smell is lager yeast, moderate wet grain, maybe a hint of jasmine.

Taste is mild and approachable. Lager funk is noticeable and comforting. Moderate earthiness, some vague citrus. I think rice actually comes through, and the jasmine lingers in the sinuses.

Mouthfeel is very light, smooth, clean. Overall, god but not exciting.
