The latest offering from our popsicle sour series, this creamsicle sour is refreshingly light bodied and bracingly sour. Expect notes of bright orange, sweet cream and soft vanilla thanks to a nostalgic blend of sweet orange juice, vanilla essence and a touch of lactose. Best paired with soft cheese, fresh fruits or ice cream.

473 mL can from the LCBO; coded L25086 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a foggy pale golden colour, scaring up half a finger of loose, bubbly white head that disintegrates within sixty seconds. A thin collar is the only remnant, with no lace generation; looks normal for the style. The aroma, on the other hand, is relatively subdued: I'm getting some graininess, lemon yogurt and low-key lactic characteristics, with occasional whiffs of vanilla and orange.
Good flavours that do a respectable job of mimicing an orange creamsicle. Orange and lemon get things started, with hints of vanilla and cream sweetness not far behind. Mild lactic background sourness, along with vanilla and citrus last briefly into the aftertaste before it dries out. Light in body, with aggressive carbonation that prickles the palate continuously during each sip, remaining lively for the entirety of the glass. Light and refreshing, with fantastic drinkability for a fruited sour.
Final Grade: 3.84, a B+. Lost Craft's Creamsicle Sour would make for a pleasant little summer treat, and I found it to be quite approachable. That is to say, I don't think people who say they "hate sours" would necessarily dislike this immediately, or even find it particularly challenging. I didn't care for this quite as much as their rocket pop sour, though to be fair, that opinion relates to a longstanding bias of mine: as a kid, orange creamsicles were my least-favourite colour. I'd drink this again if I were in the mood.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. My second beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery, and first for 2025.
