473 mL can from the LCBO; coded L2527 (likely Nov 27 2025) and served barely chilled.
Pours a very dark brown colour, verging on opaque; situated atop is over an inch of bubbly, light tan-coloured foam that degrades within a couple of minutes. A sickly-thin collar is the only survivor, with an otherwise barren surface and essentially no lace; it's a bit plain-looking. I'm getting milk chocolate on the nose, as well as caramel, vanilla and a touch of chocolate syrup.
Palatable without being particularly compelling. Sugary caramel flavours come through early on, joined by notes of milk chocolate, vanilla and sweet cream; hints of roastiness are barely discernible amidst the candy sweetness. More caramel and milk chocolate on the back end, with vanilla & caramel lingering into a sugary, clingy aftertaste. On the fuller side of medium-bodied, with low carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel; a bit slick, with a tongue-coating quality. One serving seems like more than enough tonight.
Final Grade: 3.68, a B grade. If I were to judge Caramilk Stout based solely on how well they pulled off the gimmick (i.e. does it remind me of a Caramilk bar), then I'd concede that Lost Craft has done an acceptable job. On the other hand, this is quite poorly balanced, even for a sweet stout - and sure, it's a beer based on a candy bar, but the fact remains that the saccharine flavours don't really have anything else to play off of. It's just sweet on sweet, all the way down, and I find that inherently boring. That's not to say that this is a bad beer, but it's also not really my thing. Worth a try if the concept intrigues you.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From the Huron Church Rd. LCBO in nearby Windsor. No date stamp or lot number. My 6th beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery, and 5th for 2025. Incessantly liked by Gracie the cat...

473ml can served cool into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for around $4CDN.
Appearance -Dark brown with three fingers of foamy tan head. Above average retention.
Smell - Quite sweet with caramel notes, sugar, slight roasty astringency and possible wet coffee grounds.
Taste - Pretty sweet with milk chocolate and caramel coming through with some grainy and roasty flavors lingering in the background. Somewhat sweet again at the end. Artificially sweet on the caramel.
Mouthfeel - Medium full bodied, carbonation is ok.
Overall - Decent flavored stout but there's something here, maybe it's the artificial feeling sweetness that makes not want to drink this again. Passable but not my favorite.
