Picked this up while driving through the south, as I needed a brew from the Heart of Dixie. This was a better take on an American Lager than a typical offering, as it had a bit more hops and heft to it than something more Macro-leaning. No, this won't win any awards but it was a fine beer to have on an abnormally warm January evening!
Canned on 2/5/18 this had a nice and fairly bright brassy hue to it with enough foamy head to top it off. Citrus rind, soap, bread, and cracker were in the muted and varied nose as the taste contained all of those as well. An underlying burn served a reminder that this had hops while the mouthfeel was balance and the finish was quite clean. There were some bubbles here but this could have used a bit more carbonation as it seemed just a bit too heavy for an IPL.
This had quite a bit of booze in it although it wasn't a deterrent and the soapiness that I felt from this only reinforced that the mouthfeel and aftertaste weren't quite in line with each other. There wasn't anything wrong with this beer as much as I think IPL's should be in their own category on here. For something relaxing, this wouldn't be too bad a choice!

This is my first IPL and it was worth the wait. I thought this beer was outstanding. It has a very piney aroma and taste. It is a staple in my refrigerator.

From the can, it pours a very hazy amber with a large, white (or just off white) head that slowly diminishes and leaves lacing. Fresh hoppy scent in the nose. The mouth gets a lightly hoppy slightly malty flavor that is easy to drink.
Note: they call this one an India Pale Lager

Pours a clear deep gold and you can smell the bready malts. Hint of citrus and pine with a smooth malt lager finish. Feels very smooth and it has a high drink ability. My fist foray into IPL’s and this one does not disappoint. Drink it ice cold and enjoy.

I'm no expert on IPL's but I love this beer. It has a unique flavor that has a hint of citrus but is a hardy lager. Definitely a man's beer with a little bite. I can enjoy 1 beer or a whole 6 pack without getting drunk even though it has a higher alcohol content.
I definitely think this beer is worth a try and has a unique character. I also love the railroad theme.

I tried this at the brewery. It poured a clear golden with white head that did not leave any lace. The scent had faint citrus peel. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with citrus presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.
